VAT Accountant

A brilliant opportunity to join a growing leader in the technology space as a  VAT Accountant.  

Reporting directly to the Tax Manager , you will support the global VAT compliance process across multiple jurisdictions, while enhancing processes where possible.

Ideally this will suit a tax professional with at least 3 years’ experience in a VAT role.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements with an expectation to work from the Cork office twice a week – free car parking onsite.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Support the indirect tax compliance and reporting process for global entities.
• Maintain an awareness of legislative updates and communicate impact to the wider business.
• Prepare and review quarterly VAT provisions.
• Support VAT queries on business transactions/decisions.
• Liaise with tax authorities and support query resolution.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors.
• Identify process improvements and implement changes where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• At least three years’ experience.
• Demonstrated indirect tax experience advantageous.
• A Chartered Tax Advisor or Accountant advantageous but will consider part qualified.
• Strong systems experience, and an enthusiasm for optimising efficiencies.
