We’re looking for a VP of Finance to lead the financial and legal engine of &Open. You’ll work closely with the founders and executive team to shape how the business runs—commercially, operationally, and strategically—while keeping everything running smoothly from a financial and compliance point of view.

This isn’t a role for someone who just oversees from a distance. What we need is someone to bring structure, clarity, and leadership—connecting the dots between Finance, Legal, GTM, and Operations.

You’ll be a key contributor to pricing, forecasting, capital strategy, board reporting, and commercial negotiations. You’ll also be responsible for leading the Finance & Legal teams, managing fundraising alongside the founders, and owning investor reporting and financial governance.

We’re looking for someone who’s not just great with numbers—but curious, collaborative, and eager to get involved in the business at all levels. Someone who wants to help shape the future of &Open from the inside out.

Strategic & Commercial Finance

• Partner with GTM leadership (VP Revenue, Head of Marketing, Chief of Staff/BizOps) to develop accurate forecasts, pricing models, and revenue targets.
  
  

• Contribute actively to go-to-market discussions, strategy setting, and customer engagement where it supports commercial outcomes.
  
  

• Own and maintain critical KPIs: ARR, ACV, cash burn, runway, redemption, etc.
  
  

• Build and own financial models for planning, budgeting, and scenario forecasting (top-line, headcount, cash flow).
  
  

• Provide commercial input and financial insight into pricing strategies and client negotiations.
  
  

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations: cash flow, payroll, tax, compliance, audit readiness.
  
  

• Ensure timely, accurate reporting to the board, executive team, and investors.
  
  

• Lead consolidated management accounts, with commentary and insights.
  
  

• Implement financial process improvements, policies, and controls.
  
  

Fundraising & Investor Support

• Collaborate with founders on fundraising: shaping financial narratives, owning data and materials, and supporting diligence.
  
  

• Maintain the cap table and equity-related processes in partnership with Legal and HR.
  
  

• Ensure clear and consistent communication with current and potential investors.
  
  

Legal & Governance

• Lead our in-house Legal function (commercial contracts, compliance, risk).
  
  

• Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and contractual obligations globally.
  
  

Team Leadership & Culture

• Manage the Finance team (currently 4 in Accounting, 1 in Commercial Finance).
  
  

• Support and lead Legal team members with clarity and structure.
  
  

• Drive a performance-oriented, collaborative culture across Finance & Legal.
  
  

• Support career development and financial literacy across the business.
  
  

Leadership & Collaboration

• Join weekly Executive and Leadership meetings, bringing financial updates and insights into KPIs and company performance.
  
  

• Build strong working relationships across Product, GTM, and Operations teams.
  
  

• Be a grounded, flexible leader who can help others understand the impact of decisions and move quickly with the right information.

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience (ideally in SaaS, tech, or marketplace businesses).
  
  

• Experience working in or with VC-backed companies.
  
  

• Proven track record in fundraising, board engagement, and equity management.
  
  

• Strong commercial instincts and comfort working cross-functionally with GTM teams.
  
  

• Exposure to customer conversations, pricing decisions, and growth planning.
  
  

• Prior exposure to global compliance, legal oversight, and risk management.
  
  

• Great communicator—able to adapt, clarify, and lead with transparency.
  
  

• Startup grit: you’re comfortable with ambiguity, excited by change, and able to move fast without cutting corners.
