Welding Inspector

Fohntech Group is looking for a Welding Inspectors to join their team in Kerry.

Responsibilities:

• Verify welding specifications and compliances for site requirements
  
• Be familiar with safety, quality and construction or maintenance regulations, standards, procedures and requirements
  
• Ensure that all activities/tasks adhere to national and state health and safety regulations
  
• Ensure welding procedures are being followed correctly and that welders are using appropriate equipment and materials
  
• Review NDT results and interpret findings to assess weld quality and detect any defects or discontinuities
  
• Identify the qualifications of welders and the validity of their certificates
  
• Maintain records of inspections conducted
  
• Interpret welding symbols, drawings, specifications and codes
  
• Document results of inspections, including VT reports and weld maps
  
• Identify and report any deviations or non -conformances to procedures, codes or standards
  

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience as a Welding Inspector
  
• Current recognized International Welding Inspector qualifications and/or equivalent
  
• CWI (IWI -B) Certified International Welding Inspector Basic or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
