Duties and Responsibilities

As HR Officer, you will be required to work as a partner to the HRBP to provide the full range of HR services that enables the achievement of business objectives and deliver excellent service. You will support the HR function through continuous improvement and HR excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the HRBP in the delivery of the engagement framework to create high performing teams, continuous improvement, development, and a high performing culture across the network.
  • Working with Business Managers to ensure governance, compliance and fairness.
  • Driving the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Management of disciplinary and grievance issues and employee relation matters.
  • Providing advisory on policies and procedures and best practise.
  • Working closely with Line Managers to review and monitor the probation process.
  • Managing the absence and sick pay process to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Ensuring support is provided to employees regarding any system queries relating to HR Locker (HR System).
  • Supporting the recruitment, selection, and induction process in your defined area to include issuing of contracts, new starter information, eligibility to work etc
  • Over management of our HR system HR Locker
  • Liaising with payroll in relation to new starter/leaver information
  • Supporting the local team with HR files and records to ensure they are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Co-ordinating and participating in Company Branding initiatives and Community Programmes.
  • Ensuring GDPR Compliance.
  • Supporting HR projects and other HR work as required

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • 3 years’+ experience in a similar HR role and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-moving environment and through communicating with others.
  • Work well as a part of a team
  • Flexible approach with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work on initiative
  • Good working knowledge of current or impending employment legislation.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills in all areas of Microsoft Office.
  • Consistent work methodology and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage and support a harmonious environment at all levels.
  • Good interview skills
  • Experience with HR software systems is desirable
  • CIPD or equivalent.
  • Degree in HR/Business related discipline or equivalent.

The role will be based in La Rousse Foods, Parkwest, Dublin, with the potential of one day working from home. It may also involve occasional business travel.
