Job Description - Logistics Planner (Contract)

If you are an experienced Logistics Coordinator/Planner who is currently in between roles or looking for a new start then this opportunity as a Logistics Planner on a temporary contract with a large player in the premium beverage industry could be just what you're looking for.
The Logistics Planner will plays a critical role in helping the company achieve its growth plans by ensuring world-class customer service to the Distributor Network while also balancing inventory levels to prevent write-offs due to obsolescence. In this role, the individual serves as the daily point of contact for the International distribution partners, UK sales teams, and UK retail customers on all order-related matters. The role involves managing both the daily customer service needs of Distributors and assisting the UK sales team in the execution and fulfillment of orders. Success in this position relies on building strong relationships with the field sales team, as well as with Distributors and third-party logistics partners.
This is an initial temporary assignment as the company transitions to a new ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key point of contact for customer and distributors to manage orders and fulfilment
  • Manage relationship with UK 3PL and key European Co-manufacturing warehouses
  • End 2 End management of Order to Invoice process in ERP system
  • Urgent resolution & communication updates on any issues impacting open orders
  • Strong communication skills to provide accurate details in a positive way
  • Communications of order & shipping status as required
  • Record and report customer service KPIs for all markets
  • Managing of the distribution and recording of sample stock
  • Recording and management of all daily finished goods inventory movements
  • Support month end inventory reconciliations and resolution of all variances
  • Maintenance and monitoring of online customer portals to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure best possible customer service & reduction in obsolete inventory

Key Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Inventory Planning, Logistics or Customer Service experience
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as excellent presentation abilities
  • Action oriented and KPI driven
