Our client is a very well established distributor electrical products and tools. Seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the team. Salary: All doe circa €40K plus commission and benefits.

The Role :

• Processing of purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts.
• Creation and management of new product cards and information on the ERP system.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, pricing information, and product specifications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
• Escalate procurement issues such as delayed availability, discontinued product, and any other relevant impact on the business.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimise cost savings and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, and supplier information.
• Forecasting, utilising statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Stay informed about relevant regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

The Candidate:

• Solid knowledge of supply and planning in a distribution business.
• MS Literate (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel is necessary.
• Numerical and analytical abilities, Proficiency with statistical and forecasting fundamentals.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a closely knit team.
