Grocery Convenience Supermarket Deli Manager Job Cork.

Predominantly Monday to Friday hours.

Teamworx is working with a large corporate retail group with stores nationwide that is hiring for a Deli Manager based in a central location near Cork City Centre.

If you are an experienced Deli Manager, Cafe or Catering Manager who is looking to work in a modern convenience supermarket store or looking for a bigger challenge with a renowned retail group, my client offers benefits, progression and a chance to work Monday to Friday in this job.

This store is the first store in this retail group to trial a brand new deli format and depending on the results will be rolled out nationwide and is a busy, high-footfall retail shop working with a well-known household name across Ireland. As the Deli Manager, you will manage the team of 7-10 staff , by assisting in hiring, training, and motivating your teams, also taking responsibility for the financials of the deli department including ensuring high level of cleanliness, standards, and overall positive customer experience. This is a trial store with lots of new trendy, innovating deli equipment and software that is going to change the way retail operates its fresh food departments.

• Salary from €33,000 but flexible for a person with the right experience.

• Predominantly Monday to Friday hours. 6 -7am starts

• Previous management experience working with food
• Proven management experience, organise and supervising work of others
• Fresh food knowledge
• Strong organisational skills
• Be able to work both in a team and own initiative.
• A strong understanding of food safety and HACCP knowledge

• Oversee the running of the bakery, coffee dock, and deli itself.
• Responsible for 8 staff members, planning out their workload, directing work and ensuring tasks are completed correctly
• Stock ordering and control of proper ordering
• Ensure the proper management of hygiene and HACCP records
• Ensure the standards are maintained.
• Train new staff members and provide further training for existing staff
