Summary

Capability Development group facilitates capabilities upskilling for field and commercial functions across the globe, through delivery of projects and initiatives in collaboration with global, regional and local teams.This person will work directly with internal clients and business leaders within Novartis, supported by Capability Development group lead and team, to deliver projects in collaboration with other colleagues in GBS and Data&Products Group. This individual will also support in project proposals creation, building process documentation and knowledge repositories. Expertise and a track record of delivering commercial excellence and capability development projects in a complex environment is a key asset vital for success.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities

  • Lead and deliver projects to Global, Regional or Country stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality objectives in the following areas:
    • Design/co-design programmes and initiatives related to Skills & Capabilities development.
    • Facilitate & Deliver Face to Face & virtual functional trainings, sales/ KAM/ medical villages, coaching villages, etc.
    • Design and Facilitation of workshops as necessary across the suite of services – Competitive Simulation, Tactical Planning, Patient Journey, OCE implementation, etc. through collaborating with Marketing/Sales/Medical/Training Operations teams
    • Ad hoc skills & Capabilities projects, technology adoption projects, etc.
  • Oversee the project delivery and F2F training support and drive local resource decision making, track customer satisfaction and resolve issues, all in partnership with local support functions
  • Support capabilities development lead in setting future direction of field, sales & marketing capability development services within the team
  • Ensures exemplary engagement and communication with all stakeholders including internal associates, and clients through regular updates with focus on accomplishments, KPIs, best practices, staffing changes and key events
  • Supports team operations by completing project/ proposal documentation – Customer Engagement Plan (CEP), completing post project activities, creating SOPs and checklists
  • Mentors junior team members to support talent development across the wider team by focusing on
    • Approach to work (motivation, initiatives, professionalism, teamwork, people management)
    • Delivery of results (best practices and standards, analytical ability, problem solving, quality, communication, task management)
    • Manage the training needs of the group
    • Expertise (subject matter expertise, creativity, knowledge management)
  • Will involve travel to Novartis locations for workshop facilitation and key meetings attendance.

At least 10 years of experience in Field Force skills and Capabilities development or related experience

Experience in facilitating functional workshops

Experience in designing upskilling programs for sales/ marketing/ medical

Experience in working in a matrix and geographically dispersed environment

Should be customer oriented and able to engage stakeholders and influence decision-making

Should have an understanding of pharmaceutical business

Strong critical thinking with problem solving approach

MS suite proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

Training Skills, Coaching the Coach Certification are a plus

Marketing/Sales experience in Healthcare / Pharma related business.

Languages :

Full proficiency in English and German and preferably another Major European language .
