Role Purpose:

As we expand our Net Zero ambitions we are looking for an energetic and ambitious sales channel manager in a new role to support our team’s growth ambition.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the administration of our sales channels for both solar panel installations and boiler servicing. You will support a team of telesales and field sales representatives, develop and implement sales strategies, and achieve ambitious sales targets.

You will work with CVM and Marketing teams to define which acquisition and renewals campaigns are developed for telesales and field sales teams, in addition to managing relationships with all third-party service providers that BGE uses for such products.

The successful candidate will implement our B2C sales strategy for our solar propositions, in addition to ensuring the required pipeline of sales are met for our boiler service offers.


About the Role

  • Own all sales, volumes and margin acquisition targets for Solar & Boiler Service, including Telesale, Field Sales, Digital channels.
  • Manage and administer lead pipeline working closely with CVM and field engineers to ensure we are optimising engineer capacity and sales agent performance.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up with leads. Provide clear reporting and tracking of pipeline and channel performance.
  • Monitor, report and regularly review vendor performance based on KPIs, identifying & actioning improvement initiatives
  • Support forecasting sales targets, in conjunction with Segment manager
  • Conduct product training for sales representatives and partners
  • Own the governance forum with BGE Exec management team, providing updates on the portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives and the benefits derived

About You

  • Good knowledge of energy/utilities/renewables industry
  • Experience in the solar or boiler service industry a plus
  • Strong understanding of sales channels and lead generation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
  • Commercial acumen and ability to work on initiative.
  • Experience in supporting sales teams and third party vendors
  • Comfortable working with Data via Excel and/or Salesforce
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders
