In a nutshell:

As a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Site Manager, the role is to ensure that the cleaning and sanitation procedures in a manufacturing facility, particularly in industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food production, are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. Your duties will be focused on maintaining clean and hygienic environments, leading staff members and ensuring they have the appropriate training and complying with regulatory requirements. In addition, the role can be expanded to include oversight of supplementary services that Mitie may be required to deliver on a temporary or permanent basis.

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation schedules, policies, and procedures in compliance with GMP requirements.

2. Oversee and evaluate the day-to-day cleaning activities of the team, providing guidance and support where necessary.

3. Ensure that all equipment, tools, and chemicals used in the cleaning process are compliant with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.

4. Monitor the quality of cleaning services and take corrective action when required.

5. Train and supervise the cleaning staff, ensuring that they are proficient in GMP-compliant cleaning procedures and techniques.

6. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the facility to identify areas of improvement and maintain cleanliness standards.

7. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth operations and maintain overall facility hygiene.

8. Identify and report any safety hazards or non-conformance issues to the appropriate personnel or regulatory authorities.

9. Keep up to date with industry best practices and regulations around cleanliness and sanitation to ensure that the facility remains compliant with GMP standards.

10. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cleaning activities, staff training, and audits.

11. GMP Cleaning Manager will play a vital role in ensuring that the facility operates under the highest safety and cleanliness standards required to produce safe and high-quality products for consumers. Leadership, organisational skills, and attention to detail will be crucial to success in this role.

Experienced cleaner with previous managerial experience

Basic computer skills preferred.
