Job Description - Data Analyst

Position: Data Analyst

Location: Little Island, Co. Cork, Ireland
Contract Length: 12 Months
Work Structure: Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week
Pay Rate: €50 - €58/hour

Are you a seasoned Data Analyst with an expertise in Alteryx? We are seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of Data Analyst to play a key role in extracting insights from large data-sets, optimising processes, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business decisions for a world leading multinational bio-pharmaceutical company!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise Alteryx to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to prepare it for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows for automating repetitive data tasks and improving efficiency.
  • Design and implement data visualisations and dashboards using Alteryx and other BI tools to communicate insights effectively
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data analytics, Alteryx, and related technologies.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on Alteryx usage and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a strong focus on data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Alteryx Designer, including experience with data blending, spatial analysis, predictive analytics, and macros.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data from relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Alteryx Designer certification is preferred but not required.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data-sets.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams is a plus.
