Junior Underwriter wanted for Global Insurance Group-Dublin City

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Junior Underwriter to join our client, a Global Insurance Company, based in their Dublin Office. This role will report directly into the Head of the Division and play an important role within the management of the current book.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within Non-Life Insurance and be interested in working in an Underwriting role with a strong focus on Clients and Brokers.

This role is 3 days in the office and offers an excellent benefits package along with 25 days annual leave

Your Role:

• Evaluate new business proposals and renewals based on established underwriting guidelines, allocated budget, and local business objectives.
• Promote the corporate image of the company to brokers, internal stakeholders, and external clients.
• Support key producers and clients through proactive external engagements, monitoring of business growth and retention, and exploiting cross-selling opportunities.
• Contribute to shaping and executing underwriting strategies, forecasts, and portfolio management to achieve profitable underwriting results.
• Collaborate in developing products within specialised domains to enhance client loyalty and attract new business. This may entail working with peers across European and global business divisions.
• Ensure adherence to company standards for policy documentation, timely quoting of new and renewed business, and compliance regulations.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet business targets

Your Skills:

• Prior experience within Insurance
• Proven track record of interacting with brokers and clients.
• Focused on delivering results, with the capacity to independently make decisions and take initiative.
• Significant market experience.
• CIP qualification
