Operations and Maintenance Regional Manager

We are looking to fill the role of Operations & Maintenance Regional Manager for the South Region of Ireland.

JOB PURPOSE:

The jobholder will plan, lead, coordinate and execute all the O&M activities within the assigned area and be responsible for the performance and health and safety targets for the assets within the area.

The job holder will report to the Head of Operations and Maintenance and line manages technicians within the area. This is likely to be between 10 and 14 technicians plus contracted support on occasions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, develop and deploy Department goals and objectives to direct reports; ensuring goals and objectives are deployed and met throughout the Area in particular in the application of the company Health and Safety policy.
• Take care of personal health and safety and that of other persons. Includes, but isn't limited to;
• Report and audit - weekly vehicle and PPE inspections
• Incident, accident, near miss and hazardous observation reports
• Investigate all SHEQ submissions and conclude investigations
• Training and competencies are regularly monitored, and re-booked as required
• Manager and maintain the logistics of the Area (PPE, tools, vehicles, stock, equipment etc)
• Provide first level technical support to in-progress interventions in the Area and organise/participate in them as required (field support, special operations).
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance programs for wind farms within the region, maintaining a high utilisation figure, which is then reported monthly at board level.
• Participate in the recruitment of O&M Technicians in compliance recruitment policies.
• Establish and maintain good communication with clients and or client representatives.
• Validate and execute the agreed planned scheduled and intervention programs.
• Have a strong influence on the O&M P&L due to the impact on the maintenance operations costs.

Qualifications, experience and transferable skills

• Proven experience in operations and maintenance management within the renewable energy industry, preferably in wind farms.
• In-depth knowledge of wind turbine technology, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience of managing risks and challenges of working in a wind turbine environment Proven leader successful in delivering projects, establishing/managing relationships, and securing/maintaining a safe environment for all operations.
• Full clean driving licence.
