Tasks

Lead Data Analyst will face two significant challenges:

• Developing a metrics system that can quantify the quality of game levels—what makes a good or bad level. Assessing the performance of each level, studying its impact on monetization. 
• Creating a universal platform for calibrating level difficulty, detecting bugs, and measuring the effects of various initiatives outside of production.

All this will need to be done with a strong team of analysts and ML engineers, whom the future leader will be able to successfully develop and drive.

Our stack

Modern stack (Databricks + PySpark) reusable in other companies. Everything an employee hones while working at Playrix remains relevant and easily monetizable.

• We are not limited in tools; resources are allocated quickly, and the entire AWS is at our disposal
• We collect data through Appsflyer (marketing) and Amplitude (product)
• Raw data is stored in S3, ETL on Airflow, prepared tables and views in Redshift. Data quality, lineage, catalog—Monte Carlo
• Analysts manipulate data with SQL and Python in Jupyter/Databricks notebooks; dashboard prototypes are created in Tableau
• We are developing self-service and analytical products for data consumers, relieving analysts from routine tasks

Requirements

• Strong theoretical foundation in ML, as well as experience in applying ML (research/MVPs)
• Practical experience in A/B testing
• Experience in leading a direction/projects and driving them to results that impact metrics
• Advanced proficiency in Python. Familiarity with SQL, knowledge of statistics at the level of basic metrics and A/B testing logic 
• Experience in managing people (from 2 persons)
  
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to speak the language of business
• Proactive mindset, entrepreneurial thinking, and the ability to take responsibility for results
• Fluency in Russian
• User gaming experience (preferably f2p/MMO)
