Job Description - Senior Trade Counter Sales

We are looking for a proactive Senior Counter Sales Associate to join our clients team and drive sales within their Limerick branch. The role involves achieving sales targets, providing excellent customer service, and fostering strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales growth.
  • Exceed internal and external sales targets in assigned areas and with agreed-upon customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Identify new potential targets and open new accounts to expand our customer base.
  • Acquire in-depth product knowledge and offer expert advice to customers when needed.
  • Build rapport with customers to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding product quality and promptly resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Assist junior staff members in negotiating price quotations with customers.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to drive sales and margin growth.
  • Manage stock levels, make informed decisions on stock control, and ensure timely ordering and display of stock.
  • Maintain a well-merchandised store/shop area, including seasonal and promotional display changes.
  • Support with cycle counting and stocktaking activities.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Yard staff to fulfil incoming orders efficiently.
  • Reconcile tills for cash and credit card transactions when required.
  • Assist with other operational tasks as needed to support the smooth functioning of the branch.
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures, including operational and health and safety guidelines.

  • Arrive punctually for work and fulfil duties as per schedule to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Act diligently and professionally, promoting the company’s values and interests.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards business development and stakeholder engagement across all levels.

Salary is Negotiable depending on Experience
