Job Description - Spare Parts manager

Teamworx Recruitment are searching for a Spare parts manager for their client who is based in Dundalk.

Our client specialises in providing equipment and solutions for the food service industry. They offer a range of products such as commercial kitchen appliances, catering equipment, and food processing machinery. Their offerings cater to various businesses within the food service sector, including restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, and other food-related establishments. They aim to provide high-quality products and services to support the operations of their clients in the food industry.

 

Working Hours:

37.5 hrs per week – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. 1 hour lunchbreak.

Main areas of responsibility:

 

· To ensure the smooth day to day running of the Business Unit as a support to the rest of the Company.

· To develop a spare parts stock management plan and policies based on historical and future demand planning analysis. To include the ongoing review and management of the plan.

· To ensure that Store and Van stocks are adequately maintained and replenished to satisfy Customer service requirements.

· To schedule, manage and follow-up on stocktakes of the main Spare Parts warehouse and the engineer vans to ensure that quantities/values are in line with agreed stock policies.

· To ensure that MIS (Management Information System) process are adhered to.

· Interacting with customers (internal/external) in a professional and courteous manner and informing them of action to be taken.

· To attend management meetings as requested and to be accountable and responsible for the overall Spare Parts Department

· To ensure that costs are maintained within budget and that Spare Parts accounts are maintained according to agreed company policies and procedures.

· Recruit, train and supervise the Spare Parts personnel necessary for the achievement of Company objectives. To show leadership and to facilitate a high standard of workmanship and motivation

· Spare Parts Area – to ensure that all associated areas are always kept tidy and clean

· To display a high level of courtesy to all your colleagues and to adopt a flexible approach to your work to enhance the working environment throughout the Company.

· To ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety, in particular, to the stores area are adhered to.
