Summary:
The Business Controls Oversight Intern will play an important role on the Business Controls team and have the opportunity to develop and learn. The successful candidate will report into the Resilience Lead and support our strategic deliverables in strengthening governance, risk management, and meeting regulatory obligations. A key focus will be activities contributing to the Group’s Resilience Framework, not least in relation to the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, risk management, compliance, and audit;
· Work with business owners to visualize process workflows, through the gathering of information;
· Support the identification of required process and control improvements;
· Assist in reviewing policies, procedures, and controls to identify potential risks and improvement opportunities;
· Support ad hoc initiatives such as preparing for regulatory engagements and internal audits;
· Participate in meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items related to business controls and regulatory engagements;
· Assist with administrative tasks related to project tracking and documentation management;
· Follows current Waystone policies and procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook and/or develop additional policies as needed for jurisdiction specific.
