Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic summer intern to join our team as a Guest Coordinator. This role is perfect for a college student interested in the podcasting industry, media production, or business communications. The intern will assist in identifying, contacting, and booking guests for our podcast, ensuring a seamless experience for our interviewees and contributing to the overall success of our show.

**Duration:** Summer 2024 (July - August 2024)

Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify potential guests who align with the podcast’s themes and audience interests.

- Reach out to potential guests via email, social media, and other communication channels.

- Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring all necessary information and materials are provided to guests.

- Maintain and update a database of potential and confirmed guests.

- Assist in preparing guest bios and introductory materials for the host.

- Communicate with guests to ensure they are well-prepared and comfortable before their interview.

- Provide support during recording sessions as needed.

- Managing the guest pipeline

- Sending thank you gifts to previous guests

- Schedule follow up calls for podcast launch

- Managing email newsletter responses

- Working with the production agency to deliver podcasts on time

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a local college or university.

- Strong interest in podcasting, media production, or business communications.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Proficiency in using email, social media platforms, and basic office software.

- Previous experience in a similar role or with event coordination is a plus but not required.
