Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Accounts Payable Associate to join our team at CRH plc in Cork, Ireland. As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors and suppliers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing invoices, reconciling accounts, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities: - Process invoices and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies - Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve payment issues - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions - Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company policies - Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation as required - Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounts payable function
Requirements: - 4 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field - Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
