Job Description - Office Administrator - Part-Time

EUROSPAR Mullingar, Green Rd, Commons, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath are recruiting a Back Office Administrator on a part time basis.

This role will be3-4 days per week in the mornings for 3-4 hours per day


To ensure the office operates efficiently and professionally in line with the Company standard operating procedures. Compiling store reports and carrying out store administration to assist the store manager.

Job requirements

  • Balancing cash and preparing cash and cheque lodgements
  • Balancing EFT reads
  • Balancing individual cash drawers
  • Balancing loyalty and coupon transactions
  • Entering supplier rebates
  • Completing all required paperwork and filing of same
  • Completing the cash book
  • Daily reporting of lodgements and cash movements to head office
  • Ensuring adequate change on premises for floats and preparing lodgements for cash and coin
  • Balancing of Payzone and Lottery reads
  • Keeping customer accounts within terms, issuing statements and processing payments
  • Checking irregular dockets (returns, voids, open drawers, terminations and suspensions)
  • Ad hoc cash office duties as directed
  • To know and understand company policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented effectively. HR & TMS store administration. Liaising with Head Office HR & Payroll team ensuring all relevant administrative duties are completed at store level.
  • Escalate issues to store manager as appropriate. To communicate with the store manager on an ongoing basis
  • To undertake sales floor duties as may be assigned by the store manager typical of the Company’s core business- Retailing

The ideal candidate will possess many of the below attributes:

  • Prior experience of working in a cash office and administration
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to train colleagues on all aspects of the cash office
