Job Description - Advanced Nurse Practitioner- Emergency Department





RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.




We are Hiring Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department for our Hospital client in Dublin.






Full time/Permanent Contract




(Flexible/Part Time)








Responsibilities




  • Identify research priorities for the area of practice; identify research priorities specific to emergency nursing and the scope of practice / caseload



  • Be involved in ongoing clinical audit and research; initiate, participate in and evaluate audit and use outcome to improve service provision 



  • Lead education initiatives and undertake teaching in the clinical area, the classroom and the wider community through conferences, seminars and workshops, thus advocating advanced nursing practice in the ED 



  • Provide clinical supervision and act as preceptor to nursing staff (undergraduate and post graduate) and other healthcare professionals in the clinical area












Requirements




  • Be registered on the general division of the register of nurses maintained by NMBI and hold a current NMBI PIN  (essential)




  • Register with NMBI as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.



  • Have received an MSc Nursing (Advanced Practice) or equivalent.



  • Hold a Level 9 NFQ Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Department Nursing.



  • Have five years of post-registration experience in an acute environment.



  • Have demonstrated clinical and professional ability.
