Butcher - Part Time

EUROSPAR Strokestown is looking for a Part Time - Butcher to join their fantastic team.

OBJECTIVE

To ensure that the fresh food department operates efficiently, effectively and hygienically at all times and with the highest standard of service and product.

MAIN DUTIES

• To be aware of, and adhere to all relevant regulations concerning H.A.C.C.P and Health and safety. Any breaches of these regulations are to be reported to the General Manager/Retailer.

• To monitor and control all department overheads.

• To ensure that company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

• To achieve sale targets as agreed with the General Manager/Retailer.

• To ensure that stocktake procedures are followed and that the agreed margin is obtained.

• To ensure that standard and promotional pricing is maintained correctly on a weekly basis.

• To comply with all regulations concerning traceability of products and that all suppliers maintain the same focus.

• To ensure that merchandising and product presentation is of the highest standard at all times.

• To comply with all goods inwards and procedures.

• To participate in quality review meetings and ensure that action plans resulting from same are carried out.

• To ensure that stock rotation is adhered to, so that quality and freshness of products are of the highest standards at all times.

• To ensure that the highest standards of personal customer care are extended to all customers at all times.

• To perform any other duties as directed to you by General Management from time to time.

• The ideal candidate will be a qualified butcher.

• The candidate will also have a working knowledge of ethnic meats and meat cuts to provide for the various requirements of our customer base.
