At the Connemara Coast Hotel the Concierge is an expert in handling a variety of critical guest needs. Whenever possible, the Concierge is expected to strive to go the extra mile for our guests by relying on contacts with local merchants and service providers.

You must demonstrate your knowledge of the attractions, restaurants and have a full knowledge of Galway City and the surrounding areas to enhance the stay of our guests. In particular, you are to warmly greet and assist guests with various tasks. You will answer questions or make arrangements on items such as transportation, restaurant reservations, interesting places to visit or health and beauty services, cultural events, religious worship, childcare, shopping, florists, and any other needs. 

You will also give directions to meetings and events within the hotel as well as explain hotel facilities.

• To deliver consistent standards of excellence for all guests of Connemara Coast Hotel
• To welcome guests to an excellent standard of quality service
• To work as part of a unified team with high levels of efficiency and cleanliness

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Providing an outstanding guest experience by exceeding guest expectations
• Ensuring that guests are greeted in a professional and friendly manner
• Assisting all guests with luggage
• The prompt delivery of guest messages and parcels that are handed in to the Concierge department.
• Assist other departments in providing a 5* guest experience.
• Carrying out all tasks in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Having comprehensive knowledge and actively promoting the surrounding area of Galway
• Having the highest standards of presentation and cleanliness in the hotel, particularly public areas.

Regulations and Policies

• Follows all applicable company regulations, standards and guidelines

Health & Safety

• Ensures that any potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately
• Fully understands the Hotel's fire and emergency procedures
• Ensures the safety of the people and property within the premises
• Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct

Flexible Schedule is required. Previous experience as Concierge in Galway is preferred.
