We are currently recruiting for experienced Conference and Banqueting Chef to join our dynamic team at Fota Island Resort.

The ideal candidates must have minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role within a busy 4 or 5 star Hotel.

What we are looking for:

- Previous experience in a high volume banqueting environment

- Diploma in Chefing or equivalent third level qualification

- Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills

- Fluent English

- Health and Safety Awareness

- Excellent Organisational Skills

- Passionate about cooking

Responsibilities:

- Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure quality and consistency

- Work with event team to meet specific requirementsof each wedding and function

- Manage multiple events simultaneously ensuring all food is delivered on time and at exceptional standards

- Monitor and control food cost, portion control and wastage

- Ensure stock level is adequate to meet the needs of the Banquet section

- Order stock for weddings and functions

- Ensure compliance with all HACCP requirements

- Design diverse and appealing menus

- Stay updated with current with current food trends and industry standards
