Sports Hub Co-Ordinator PART TIME

NEWKD, in collaboration with Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership, are seeking to recruit a Sports Hub Co-ordinator, for 3 days / 21 hours to work and support the development of the Dormant Account funded Tralee Sports Hub. 

This post will be to develop and grow Sports Hub projects which are mainly focussed, but not exclusively, on sport & recreation and to implement a comprehensive plan to promote, attract and develop sustainability in these areas.

The successful candidate will be employed by NEWKD and funded by Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership under a hosting agreement and work in collaboration with both organisations.

The ideal candidate will have a sport and recreation and/or participation background, with knowledge of sport in Ireland and at least 3 years’ relevant experience.

Community development experience and/or experience of working the community is added advantage.

Contract Type: 1-year fixed term / Fixed term 1 year contact 2025 -2026 

Hours: 3 days/21 hours

Salary: The gross salary Depending on Experience

The post is a one-year contract, subject to satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period. The Sports Hub Co-ordinator will work 21 hours per week. Some flexibility of hours will be required for evening and/or weekend work to accommodate the service needs, for which time off in lieu can be taken. Travelling expenses will be reimbursed where appropriate.
