The Accountant is responsible for managing and supporting the collaboration and service delivery of external accounting companies in Italy. This role acts as a connecting link between internal stakeholders, clinics in Italy, and external accounting service providers, ensuring adherence to MVH Europe standards, principles, and controls. The position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating effective communication between all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the service delivery of external accounting companies supporting the italian market.
- Ensure compliance with MVH Europe standards, principles, and controls in all accounting activities.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, clinics, and external accounting service providers.
- Manage and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.
- Provide guidance and support to clinics in Italy on accounting matters.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Context and Scope
The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage relationships with external accounting service providers. The position involves regular interaction with internal departments, clinics, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance with MVH Europe standards.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Educated to a graduate degree level in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management.
Experience working with external accounting service providers, and in an international matrix context.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Fluent in English and Italian.
Familiarity with the veterinary industry is desirable.
