Descrizione Lavoro - Associate Director, Global Rare Medical Project Lead

Working in close partnership with Global and Regional Medical Affairs teams, Country Medical Leads, and key cross-functional stakeholders including Compliance, Regulatory, Legal, and Patient Advocacy, you will help translate strategy into execution while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance across the Global Rare organization. Strategic Planning & Execution Coordinate and support the development and execution of Global Rare medical strategic plans, ensuring alignment with regional strategies and Expertise Areas. Drive strategic initiatives, monitor progress, and adjust plans to achieve objectives. Lead special projects and initiatives as directed by the VP, Global Rare Medical Lead. Develop and deliver high-quality content for presentations (QBR/MBR, leadership updates) and ensure timely follow-up on actions. Process Optimization & Medical Excellence Develop tools, templates, workflows, and operating guidelines to support local medical execution. Streamline Medical-Legal-Regulatory review processes to reduce cycle times and clarify roles. Ensure compliant execution of medical activities in line with SOPs, regulatory standards, and local codes. Serve as a resource for compliance and approval expectations across markets. Foster collaboration with clinical development, regulatory affairs, marketing, and other functions to ensure cohesive strategy execution. Share and coordinate insights to shape global medical processes and resource allocation. Scientific degree preferred (PhD, MSc or equivalent). Extensive proven experience in Medical Affairs in life-science consulting or in operations and strategic roles within Global Medical Affairs in pharmaceutical/biotech organizations. Experience working across multiple markets and diverse regulatory environments. Experience in rare diseases or speciality theraoy area. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute medical strategies and operational plans. Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and influencing without authority. Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive flawless execution or medical plans. Familiarity with digital medical systems (e.g., Veeva CRM), medical dashboards, or analytics tools. Practical, solution-oriented approach; comfortable working in evolving, fast-paced settings For candidates who are not native English speakers, fluent English (written and spoken) is required. This position involves approximately 20% business travel.
