JOB TITLE: Business Analyst

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Finance is one of WFP’s core functions, supported by a global network of more than 800 employees operating across 90 country offices. The new Finance Strategy underscores the role of technology as a key enabler of an efficient, resilient, and future ready finance function, and as a critical driver of its digital transformation agenda.
In 2025, the CFO Division completed the implementation of the Global Payment Solution (GPS), which successfully digitalized and centralized invoicing and disbursement processes.
The purpose of this assignment is to reinforce CFOMS’ technical business analysis capacity to ensure the effective maintenance of the GPS solution, support its future evolution, and contribute to strategic digital transformation initiatives linked to GPS.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide support in defining the business requirements for set up the GPS application systems and related digital transformation initiatives.
2. Work closely with the business units process experts to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates.
3. Support with continual review of assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks; identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focus on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; develop process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; Assess business process and system inefficiencies; document business process modeling activities for future reference.
4. Work closely with IT developing partners to gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancements and implementations; support the implementation of the application systems with IT developing partners to meet business requirements by integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.
5. Provide guidance to system behavior, assess products compliance with performance standards, identify scenarios which would be suitable to UAT, test applications for functional accuracy, facilitate training with business users.
6. Meet with stakeholders regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
7. As part of the CFOMS Helpdesk team, provide support in ensuring timely and efficient resolution of queries from finance end users worldwide and manage maintenance and update of WFPs budget master data record where required.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

Produce Business Analysis Plan, Business Requirements Specification, Functional Specification, UAT scenarios.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Advanced University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses;
Experience:
4 year of experience in financial accounting, in particular accounts payables, treasury and related business processes, such as invoices, payments, cash management;
4 years progressive experience in business improvement and performance excellence projects;
Demonstrated track record of reengineering business processes and driving adoption across an organization/department.

Knowledge & Skills:

In-depth technical knowledge of all SAP Financial modules, in particular Accounts Payables, Tresury, Bank Communication Manager, their integration with Travel, Procurement and HR modules and other satellite systems;
Clear understanding of business project management and streamlining methodologies, standards, tools and techniques (e.g. Agile);
Good understanding of UN system policies, rules regulations and procedures; good understanding WFP financial business processes and relevant policies;
Excellent overall technical and analytical skills, critical reasoning and strong problem solving skills;
Managed and led or worked with multicultural teams with related areas of expertise;
Accountability, moral Integrity and high standard of professional Ethich.
