Business Development Officer

Trumia is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Offer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Sales Manager and the Business Development team and will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The opportunity to join the team at this stage in the Institutions’ journey provides for an exciting and rewarding experience.

Responsibilities:
● Meet and exceed sales targets, working closely with the sales team to ensure the successful conversion of leads into clients;
● Identify and pursue new business opportunities;
● Work hand in hand with our Marketing team to understand and optimise our marketing channels for business development;
● Liaise with the Marketing team on business trips, events and international roadshows;
● Attend internal and external meetings with prospective and existent clients;
● Bring forward networking trends and identify opportunities;
● Coordinate innovative business development programmes and solutions;
● Identify new market opportunities via market research;
● Create proposals for new and existing clients to improve their business utilizing company services;

Requirements
● Proven experience in business development sales, or a related role. Experience within the financial services or fintech industry will be considered to be an asset;
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is desirable;
● Flexible to travel according to business needs;
● Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills;
● Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets;
● Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
