Communications Executive, Southern Europe (Maternity Cover)

In the role of Communications Executive for Southern Europe at Belmond, you will be instrumental in perpetuating the legendary art of travel through compelling storytelling. As part of the Brand, Marketing, and Communications Department, you will be responsible for coordinating communication initiatives, managing media relations, and supporting the strategic objectives of our luxury travel brand. Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating communication team calendars, department activities, and media outreach (editorials, press conferences, events).
• Managing Southern Europe profiles on the Belmond Media Hub, ensuring timely updates and coordinating the upload of press releases and assets.
• Supporting on-property Communications Managers with media visits and travel logistics.
• Collaborating with Marketing teams to amplify stories and develop comprehensive communication plans.
• Supporting the Director of Communications and the Divisional Communications Manager in organizing appointments with key national press.
• Conducting press reviews and researching new journalists, trends, and initiatives.
• Supporting media relations and developing contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.
• Responding to media inquiries in agreement with the Director of Communications.
• Assisting in drafting press materials for the Division and each property.
• Supporting the organization and execution of various media and PR events.
• Coordinating the relationship with the Italian F&B external agency and facilitating calls with the London team.
• Devising quarterly divisional communications reports, including media coverage, events, and initiatives for all Southern Europe properties.
• Coordinating on-property Communication Managers in completing reporting files monthly.
• Monitoring and managing the division's performance on media platforms such as Eco della Stampa, Signal, and Lefty.

• 3+ years of experience in public relations and press office.
• An understanding of the luxury hospitality market.
• Ability to foster collaborative relationships with multi-stakeholders and disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills with strong presentation and writing abilities.
• Outstanding computer skills, including experience with databases and design software.
• Well-organized, methodical, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
• A passion for excellence, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
• Ability to travel.
