Construction Manager

Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate all site construction activities, ensuring the works are completed safely, on schedule, within project requirements and according to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• 
  

  Manage overall construction activities at site.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate structural, piping, mechanical, electrical and other construction disciplines.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise Construction Supervisors, Superintendents, subcontractors and site teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Plan daily and weekly construction activities according to project priorities and schedule.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor progress and identify delays, bottlenecks and construction issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Commissioning and Project Management teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Review manpower, equipment and material requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate construction interfaces between different disciplines and subcontractors.

  
  


• 
  

  Support resolution of technical and site-related issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor mechanical completion, punch-list clearance and handover activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in project progress and coordination meetings.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure proper reporting of construction progress and critical issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as required.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Extensive experience in Construction Management within Oil & Gas, offshore, refinery, petrochemical or major industrial projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience as Construction Manager, Site Construction Manager, Construction Superintendent or Senior Construction Superintendent.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong multidisciplinary construction background.

  
  


• 
  

  Good knowledge of structural, piping and mechanical construction activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing large site teams and subcontractors.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of construction planning, progress monitoring and site coordination.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with mechanical completion and handover activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and project documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership and communication skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous offshore platform fabrication or major EPC construction experience is preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Italian and English language skills are preferred.
