The company

Our client is an industry-leading integrator of digital networks, that designs and integrates these digital networks for their customers. They lead end-to-end solutions provider for global digital networks and partner with global telecom companies, cloud companies, citizen networks and large enterprises to deliver solutions for their fixed and wireless networks for current and future needs.

Role and Key Responsibilities

Acts as a subject matter expert for a specific technical field related to design and development of finished products
Is a member of teams of experts who, according to their area of expertise, support the technological strategy of the organization
Prepares the drafting of technical specifications for the purpose of creating the prototype and/or fine-tuning the process and product
Collaborates with the Corporate R&D team to support the implementation of new products, materials, processes and new technologies within Sterlite based on customer inputs and requirements and Company strategies with a view to continuous improvement. To this end, it carries out drawings, makes calculations, processes results of laboratory tests
Guarantees the correct management of product maintenance through the use of company software and tools
Follows the creation of products and/or fine-tuning of the process and/or materials, evaluating the results; makes the necessary changes to the specifications, in the light of the problems that have arisen
Collects relevant field data for application research and analyzes them to support the study and identification of new and emerging solutions around thematic areas
Collaborate with the sales and presales team for the analysis of the feasibility of the required technical specifications, showing the flexibility and adaptation of company technologies to customer needs
Prepare work cycles and bills of materials for product costing, indicating and complying with the technical specifications provided by legislation and/or customers
Complies with the procedures relating to the management of documentation relating to the function
Follows the Company Values, respects the Code of Ethics and promotes diversity and inclusion

Preferred experience

Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Secondary School Diploma in mechanics together with a proper experience.
2 years in industrial design within the Industry
Experience in designing on plastic, thermoplastic or metallic materials
Italian speaker. Good knowledge of English language
Knowledge of SAP or other management software (Infinity, Mambo etc.), advanced knowledge of 3D software (Inventor, Vault or similar), basic knowledge of technical drawings
