Cine Chromatix Italy is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Matte Painting (DMP) Artist to join our team. As a DMP Artist you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and photorealistic digital environments that seamlessly integrate with live action footage and CG elements. This role combines artistic skill with technical expertise, using both 2D and 3D tools to craft immersive, cinematic worlds that bring our creative visions to life. 

What Awaits You:

• Develop photorealistic digital environments using advanced 2D and 3D techniques (camera layout, modeling for projection, image re-projection, atmospheric/lighting passes)


• Seamlessly integrate matte paintings into live action plates with consistency in lighting, perspective and color


• Utilize expertise in photography, design and digital/practical modeling to create compelling environments


• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure alignment with narrative and visual goals


• Coordinate with CG Lighting, Compositing and Asset teams for cohesive shot integration

What Makes You a Match:

• Proven experience in DMP or environment art for film, TV or high-end VFX projects


• Strong skills in 2D/3D software (Photoshop, Nuke, Maya, Houdini etc.)


• Artistic eye for composition, color, lighting and detail


• Experience with camera projections and re-projection workflows


• Team leadership experience is a plus


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
