General Description of the Role

The Distribution Planning Specialist is part of the EMEA Distribution Planning Team and is in charge of creating a balanced import and distribution plan for the assigned Products and Markets ensuring the target stock coverage and service level is set, providing short to mid-term visibility required to properly manage the business.

The position is based in Sesto San Giovanni, Milan (Italy) and will report to the EMEA Distribution Planning Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze the Distribution Requirements and create the Deployment plan through TLB (Transportation Load Builder) functionality for the assigned destinations to ensure target stock level.
• Analyze import Requirements from assigned American plants and create the Import plan accordingly.
• Analyzeand highlight key issues related to volume variance that may impact supply, discussing with the internal stakeholders (Supply Planning & Logistics team)to solve them.
• Participate to weekly S&OE alignment with the Demand Planning & Customer Service team of assigned markets.
• Monitor and ensure achievement of target service level and target stock in assigned countries.
• Planning and optimizing mixed loads considering transportation constraints.
• Lead operational calls with sourcing plants from other Regions to solve availability issues and bring the required visibility to the business.
• Manage and respect quotas for product allocation.
• Make trade-off across markets on constrained availability.

EMEA and other HUBs Supply Planning Teams, EMEA and other HUBs Customer Service & Logistics Teams, Regional Supply Chain FP&A Team, , EMEA Demand Planning Team, Global Supply Planning Team.

Experience, Education & Personal Traits

• Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Management or Engineering or Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Fluent in English. Good Italian/French/Spanish is a nice to have.
• 1+ years of prior experience in the FMCG and/or Beverage sector within multinational companies.
• Knowledge and experience in Planning applications such as SAP-APO, SAP IBP, SAP ECC or S4 Hana, and SAP-BI.

• Advanced analytical skills, ability to structure, analyse and solve complex problems.
• Comfortable with volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous scenarios
