We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Specialist to join our engineering team in Rome, with a specific focus on Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in electrical engineering for major oil and gas projects, particularly during the Pre-FEED (Appraisal Phase Studies - APS) and FEED stages. A solid background in both grassroots developments and revamp projects, especially involving licensed process units, is essential.

As part of the owner’s engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering activities, ensuring alignment with licensor requirements, reviewing technical deliverables, and supporting optimization studies to ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the development of electrical engineering deliverables during the Pre-FEED (APS) and FEED phases of oil and gas projects.

• Perform independent reviews of Preliminary Design studies to ensure technical integrity and alignment with project objectives.

• Oversee and review contractor engineering work, including technical documentation such as Single Line Diagrams, Load Lists, Cable Schedules, Equipment Datasheets, and Specifications.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, etc.) to ensure design integration.

• Actively participate in and contribute to optimization studies to improve cost, safety, and performance.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable international and client-specific standards, codes, and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering roles for major oil and gas projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in both revamp and grassroots projects, especially during Pre-FEED and FEED phases.

• Proven ability to independently conduct and review Preliminary Design studies.

• Experience working within or alongside owner engineering teams is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with engineering tools and software used in electrical system design and analysis.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Italian or French is a plus.
