Field Specialist II - Well Services

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient preparation, deployment, operation, and recovery of Thru Tubing equipment used in fishing, milling, clean-out, tubing cutting, isolation, and remedial well intervention operations. The role requires strong hands-on technical experience, the ability to troubleshoot complex downhole situations, and effective coordination with client representatives, field personnel, and other service providers.

Salary to be offered starts at EUR 33,000 gross per year plus benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute Thru Tubing well intervention operations in accordance with approved operational programs, company procedures, client requirements, and HSE standards. 


• Lead fishing operations using downhole equipment such as jars, overshots, pulling tools, spears, fishing tools, and associated assemblies. 


• Supervise and perform milling and clean-out operations utilizing hydraulic downhole motors, mills, burn shoes, wash-over shoes, under-reamers, junk baskets, and other specialized Thru Tubing equipment. 


• Deploy and operate inflatable and mechanical plugs, packers, cement retainers, and related isolation equipment for remedial and well intervention applications. 


• Supervise the deployment and recovery of Thru Tubing assemblies using coiled tubing, drill pipe, slickline, and electric line (E-line) conveyance methods. 


• Review operational programs and determine appropriate tool configurations and bottom-hole assemblies (BHAs) according to well conditions and intervention objectives. 


• Coordinate the preparation, inspection, assembly, function testing, and maintenance of Thru Tubing equipment prior to mobilization and operation. 


• Ensure equipment and tools are operationally ready and appropriate for the planned well intervention. 


• Provide on-site technical supervision and operational leadership during field activities. 


• Monitor operational parameters and downhole tool performance throughout the intervention. 


• Identify operational problems and provide technical troubleshooting and corrective recommendations when downhole conditions or operational circumstances change. 


• Coordinate closely with client representatives, coiled tubing crews, wireline personnel, rig personnel, and other service companies involved in the operation. 


• Conduct and participate in pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and operational reviews. 


• Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with applicable HSE procedures, risk assessments, work instructions, and client requirements. 


• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure that personnel under supervision understand operational hazards and control measures. 


• Ensure correct handling, transportation, storage, and maintenance of Thru Tubing equipment. 


• Complete job reports, equipment reports, service documentation, and post-job operational records accurately and in a timely manner. 


• Participate in post-job reviews and communicate lessons learned and operational recommendations to improve future job performance. 


• Support and mentor less experienced field personnel, providing technical guidance and practical training where required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant oil & gas field experience (Thru-Tubing Services / Coiled Tubing/ Completion Services/ Well Intervention / Fishing)


• Strong mechanical aptitude, equipment troubleshooting, and ability to read tool drawings, well schematics, and job procedures


• Experience preparing, operating, maintaining and testing downhole tools, including support for fishing, milling, cleanout, setting and retrieval operations


• Good communication in English (both written and oral)


• Computer literacy (MS office)


• Capable of multitasking and working effectively under pressure 


• Ability to generate clear and concise reports in a timely and professional manner
