Information Technology Quality Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Governance Quality Analyst plays a key role in driving excellence across the IT Division by ensuring compliance with IT Governance standards and best practices. This role defines, monitors, and continuously improves quality frameworks, conducts internal audits and project reviews, and implements quality gates that promote consistency, accountability, and high-performing IT delivery.  This position is based in  the Information Technology Division (Kariega)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Champion the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and release-ready IT solutions by ensuring robust design, thorough testing, and adherence to governance standards throughout the solution lifecycle.


• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to embed VW Group Governance and Quality standards into every solution, promoting long-term sustainability, reliability, and business value.


• Drive project excellence through comprehensive quality reviews across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of fit-for-purpose IT solutions.


• Establish and lead quality gate assessments for projects, systems, and technology initiatives, providing independent oversight that ensures only high-quality solutions move forward.


• Perform internal audits and continuous improvement reviews of IT processes, projects, and services, delivering practical recommendations that enhance efficiency, governance, and operational excellence.


• Promote a culture of quality and governance excellence by facilitating training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that embed IT Governance and Quality Management principles across the IT organisation and partner ecosystem

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 year IT (or related) Qualification - degree or diploma (minimum)


• ITIL Foundation Certification

Experience:

• 3 years+ IT and/or business systems and/or


• 3 years+ Corporate/IT Governance, Risk and Compliance and/or


• Risk management process planning/implementation participation


• Participation in Internal and/or External IT Audits

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

• Expert experience in using MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


• Communication – interpersonal skills/ IT customer interactions
