IT Desktop Support Technician

Reports to:

Global Enterprise & Integration Architect 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the IT infrastructure in Spain and France, working closely with internal IT team, Group IT, and external providers. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing IT systems and manufacturing applications, delivering end-user support and infrastructure projects, enforcing cybersecurity measures and user training, monitoring and responding to security threats, and ensuring all IT services align with Group IT policies and business requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop issues for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repairs for remote users as needed.


• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products to deliver the required service levels for desktop systems.


• Build, install, and test custom configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.


• Collaborate with members of the IT team to ensure the efficient operation of the organization’s desktop computing environment.


• When necessary, manage and troubleshoot issues with end-user network software products for workstations.


• Ensure that desktop connections—i.e., network jacks—are functioning properly.


• Set up tests and applications to monitor desktop performance, then provide performance statistics and reports. 

Skills and Attributes Required:

• Academic studies related to IT.


• Profesional experience in similiar position.


• High level of English and Spanish proficiency.


• Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.


• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.


• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.


• Ability to travel for business purposes.
