Junior Cosmetic Project Manager

Private Label Cosmetics

We are looking for a Junior Cosmetic Project Manager to support the development and delivery of private label cosmetic products, from client brief to market launch. The role involves close collaboration with Key Account Managers, internal departments, external partners and clients. The Junior Project Manager ensures projects are planned and executed on time, within scope, and in compliance with cosmetic regulations. The role also includes maintaining project documentation, coordinating the preparation and shipment of product samples, and supporting communication across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Support the Sales Team in managing cosmetic development projects from client brief to product launch


• Assist in the preparation of quotations and project documentation


• Support the definition and monitoring of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables


• Coordinate the preparation and shipment of product samples to clients


• Assist in coordinating activities across departments (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Packaging, Supply Chain)


• Track project progress and report delays, deviations or risks to KAM

Private Label Product Development

• Support the execution of customer briefs and ensure alignment with capabilities


• Act as a liaison between clients and sources under supervision


• Assist in the coordination of formulation development, packaging selection, and product specifications

Regulatory & Quality Support

• Coordinate with the Regulatory team in ensuring product compliance with applicable cosmetic regulations (e.g. EU Cosmetic Regulation)


• Support the coordination of stability, compatibility, and other finished product required testing

Packaging & Artwork Coordination

• Support packaging development and component sourcing activities


• Monitor approval timelines and support issue resolution

Cost & Planning Support

• Support cost tracking and basic project budget monitoring


• Assist in collecting quotations, MOQs, and lead-time information from sources


• Help ensure alignment between client expectations, timelines, and production constraints

Communication & Reporting

• Prepare project status updates, samples and documentation


• Participate in internal and client meetings, taking notes and following up on actions


• Maintain accurate project records and ensure information traceability

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Languages, Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or a related field


• 1–2 years of experience in cosmetics, private label, or contract manufacturing environments


• Basic knowledge of cosmetic product development and regulatory requirements


• Strong organizational and communication skills


• Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project management tools are a plus


• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage


• Strong interest in the cosmetics industry and private label product development


• Based in Crema, Italy, working on site
