Purpose of Job

Responsible for accounts in the specific region with the target to optimise gross margin, achieve sales objectives and develop growth opportunities. Responsible for the coordination of certain group of products with the aim to balance supply and demand as well as suggesting short- to mid-term price and sales plan.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform, direct, guide and coordinate the commercial activities of Industrial Solutions with and for customers within an assigned geographic territory.


• Responsible for continuously optimise margins, reduce outstanding payment and support inventory management within an assigned territory, supported by IT tools such as Power BI, BW, CRM.


• Develop sales forecast and pricing guideline for products and territory in coordination with team members. Monitor and track sales progress of responsible products and specific region. Provide strong forecast accuracy.


• Establish strong customer relationships and achieve superior customer satisfaction to ensure customer loyalty and profitable growth. Implement pricing strategy within agreed guidelines, interacting efficiently with marketing team.


• Develop and executes account plans (goal setting, time management, resource allocation) to optimize existing and to devlop new business.


• Define and communicate value propositions to customers.


• Acquire, provide and document market information from customers in CRM.


• Establish excellent internal cross-functional relationships.


• Responsible for achieving Operational Budget, while working in a safe and responsible manor under the Sasol's Values.

Formal Education

• Bachelor's degree 


• Master degree or MBA would be beneficial

10 years in the Chemical Industry
