Your Role

• Serve as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in Italy. In such capacity, you would be the main point of contact with the Italian FIU and approves SARs before filing and approve high risk business relationships


• Maintain and develop the Italian branch AFC frameworks, including for AML/CTF, Sanctions, and ABC policies/processes. Align such frameworks with the global policy at Solaris


• Handle the relationship with Italian regulators, including providing reports and assisting with regulatory reporting where necessary


• Responsible for permanent control and local internal control framework before competent authorities


• Play the role of local advisor for AFC and compliance topics regarding Italian environment (e.g. legal monitoring, new products, new partner risk assessment)


• Communicate and train relevant teams on compliance requirements


• Identify, assess, track, and escalate regulatory risks throughout the Italian branch perimeter

• 5+ years professional experience within the banking industry (experience within fintechs will be a plus)


• Demonstrable expertise in broader compliance areas within a financially regulated company, including, but not limited to AML


• Experience in building AML/CTF framework


• Experience working in an international and diverse environment


• Clear written and verbal communication in Italian and English languages


• Experiences with local regulators is a plus


• Ability to work well under pressure, different priorities, and tight deadlines
