Pastry Chef - Splendido, a Belmond Hotel

We are looking for a Pastry Chef for the next season (spring/summer 2024) to join our kitchen team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community.

He/She will Report to the Executive Chef.

• Create and update a broad range of pastry and dessert, develop new pastry recipes
• Oversee the production of pastries and desserts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Train and supervise pastry kitchen staff to execute recipes with precision
• Manage inventory and costs control of pastry ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels
• Coordinate with Executive Chef to create and develop new menu ideas
• Implement strategies to minimize food costs while maintaining quality
• Enforce hygiene and safety standards in the pastry kitchen

Requirements

Other requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the same role in a fine dining restaurant (Michelin star is a plus)
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Outstanding leadership skills

• We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 2 Pastry Chef
• Start date: March 2024 to End date: September 2024, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido and a career path.
• Salary as by CCNL + increase (Monthly Gross Salary around € 3.300), separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR
• Monthly welfare incentive based on quality goals + welcome bonus
