Descrizione Lavoro - Pastry Sous Chef | Season 2026 | Villa Sant'Andrea, a Belmond Hotel

For the next season, we are looking for a Pastry Sous Chef to join the team. He/she should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. The primary objective is to provide a friendly, attentive, and timely service and to create an exceptional experience for all our guests.   

He/She reports to Executive Chef. 

 

Main duties: 

  • Assisting the Pastry Chef in managing the pastry brigade and in creating and preparing menus;  
  • Coordinating food production and controlling food quality, taste and presentation of dishes;  
  • Ensuring adherence to all health, safety and security procedures;  
  • Collaborating with all F&B departments: Restaurant, Banqueting, Room Service, Bar;  
  • Compliance with quality and service standards. 
  • Effective communication, emotional intelligence and adaptability;  
  • Strong leadership skills;  
  • Global perspective: treat one another with respect and inclusiveness regardless of position, level or background;  
  • Flexibility regarding hours is essential, including willingness to work weekends, holidays and evenings;  
  • Ability to work under pressure;  
  • Strong motivation and passion for the job with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and challenging environment;  
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the same role in a fine dining restaurant;  
  • Fluent in Italian. Basic level of English preferred;  
  • Outstanding leadership skills;  
  • Flexibility and excellent efficiency in working under pressure.
