PLM System Engineer (m/k)

Location: Modlniczka, nearby Kraków

We are looking for a PLM System Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the Siemens Teamcenter PLM landscape by managing the underlying infrastructure, deployments, and continuous optimization across the full application lifecycle. The role bridges development, operations, and support teams by coordinating implementations, resolving incidents, and enabling reliable, scalable environments that meet both technical and business requirements.

This is what your typical everyday life looks like:

• Responsibility for the IT infrastructure of Siemens Teamcenter PLM software at SMA


• Responsibility for the Teamcenter implementation process at SMA, including the deployment of new application versions and software packages


• Support for Polish Teamcenter users and coordination with the support team at SMA headquarters


• Responsibility for the continuous optimization of existing Teamcenter environments in close collaboration with internal departments and experts


• Advising on rich client requirements regarding technical implementation


• Support, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of servers, interfaces, and clients in collaboration with other IT departments and experts


• Recording and resolving issues and escalating them to higher support levels as needed


• Participation in the definition and implementation of backup mechanisms


• Ensuring the transfer of know-how and training for teams and service providers


• Leading and managing project and operational optimization activities related to the configuration/installation of new environments


• Compliance with the work regulations and company policies and procedures


• Carrying out other instructions of the supervisor in accordance with the law and within the agreed type of work

Skills you need for the role:

• Professional, at least 3 years of experience in the field


• Studies in Information Technology, Business Informatics or similar, Bachelor's or Master's degree


• Theoretical knowledge and sound practical experience in the deployment/provisioning of new software packages and client applications


• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the automation of business processes


• Basic knowledge and a good understanding of cloud computing technologies


• Basic understanding of network concepts, security mechanisms, authentication and authorization


• Scripting skills, including Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.; basic knowledge


• Agile development methods, such as SCRUM or SAFE; basic knowledge
