Product Manager - Invoicing

Job Description:

In this role, you will shape the strategy and evolution of Allegro's invoicing processes and invoice account management - the crucial backstage engines that ensure tax compliance and operational reliability for our partners. You will manage the complex landscape of legal requirements and lead strategic projects focused on enhancing the accuracy and transparency of our sales invoices.

A key objective is to transform how invoicing processes are experienced by both our partners and our internal teams. You will work on providing continuous, transparent access to e-invoices, ensuring seamless compliance with changing tax laws (such as reduced VAT rates), and delivering enhanced administrative tools that empower our Customer Experience (CX) teams to resolve partner issues efficiently.

Main responsibilities:

• Act as the technical owner of the Allegro invoicing accounts and invoicing process, making key decisions on timely settlements with partners.


• Manage and optimize the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring strict compliance with changing tax regulations and significantly reducing the risk of errors.


• Manage and configure VAT rates across all product categories and countries where Allegro operates, ensuring accurate tax calculations and compliance in every international market.


• Lead strategic projects aimed at enhancing electronic invoice transparency, providing sellers with intuitive tools to seamlessly filter, manage, and download invoices.


• Develop and maintain robust administrative tools (Invoice Admin) that empower our Customer Experience teams to efficiently search, view, and modify invoice accounts, ultimately improving the support we provide to our partners.


• Drive the product lifecycle by experimenting with fast, cost-effective solutions to validate hypotheses and measure business impact.


• Collaborate closely with a dedicated development team and the Tax and Accounting teams to deliver robust, scalable invoicing solutions.


• Manage broad communication across the organization, ensuring alignment on changes that impact internal teams and external partners.

We are looking for people who:

• Have a strong partner-centric mindset, with a focus on improving partner experience through transparent and reliable invoicing strategies.


• Are not afraid to seek and drive decisions at high levels of the organization, using strong, merit-based argumentation.


• Possess an experimentation mindset, comfortable with quickly and efficiently testing new solutions and iterating based on results.


• Have exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex changes and aligning broad, cross-functional teams.


• Are open to leveraging AI to optimize processes and innovate within the Financial Settlements area.


• Language competencies: Polish C1 and English C1.


• Have experience in invoicing processes; a solid foundation in financial, accounting, or tax principles is a nice to have.
