Job Description:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will focus on:

• Closely follow regulatory developments at International, EU and national level; main center of attention will be on:
  • Machinery directive 2006/42/EC
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU
  • Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
  • Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU
  • ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
• Attend internal technical meetings, closely interact with engineering functions to define SGS’s position on the regulatory initiatives of interest;
• Monitor relevant policy issues which impact SGS’s business;
• Provide technical support to the SGS Engineering Head of Departments;
• Prepare position papers and advocacy materials on proposed legislation and regulations;
• Support the preparation of briefing papers and create presentations/speeches for the management in preparation of the High-Level meetings;
• Monitor market and technology evolutions and assess potential new business opportunities or threats.
