R&D Team Lead

The R&D Team Manager plays an important role, driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the department while assisting the R&D Manager to plan and manage R&D activities and resources.
In this position, you will support the development of projects and identify the budget for a specific functional area.
You will also be in charge of R&D Engineers in order to meet the requirements of product development projects.
Your responsibilities
- Serving as a technical resource for internal and external contacts.
- Creating technology roadmaps and providing input regarding technology strategy planning.
- Planning and ensuring an optimal project portfolio for the team, and overseeing efficient project execution.
- Recommending, developing, and improving processes and procedures to enhance local operations.
- Applying appropriate development and quality standards, and monitors local product quality and change requests to
- identify issues.
- Evaluating local market requirements and innovation, and providing feedback on product, manufacturing and R&D
- strategies.
- Overseeing and assisting with transfer of technology and knowledge between internal partners.
- Contributing to technical bodies both inside and outside ABB, and promoting ABB's R&D internally and externally.
Your background
- A master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience in Apparatus and or Switchgear design, working as R&D project manager or Team Leader
- with MV (Medium Voltage) product.
- Sound knowledge of product management methodologies and the MV market.
- Knowledge of Solid Works and simulation tools.
- English knowledge is required.
- A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
