Business Development Representative (BDR)

Coverflex

Work changed. Pay didn’t.

Coverflex exists to make compensation work for everyone.
Pay is still rigid, fragmented, and hard to feel.
We turn compensation into choice — one platform, one card, one app — for benefits, meal allowance, insurance and more.

Our platform is simple for HR and meaningful for employees.
We provide choice, smarter compensation tools and empowerment.

⚙️ TL;DR (The Essentials)

Role: Business Development Representative (BDR)
Seniority Level: Junior
Type: Individual Contributor
Languages: English (main) / Italian (C2/native)
Main Tools: HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Notion, Slack
Location: Remote (Italy)
Compensation:

• Base Salary: €21,000 – €28,000

Your Impact

Your role will play a major role in our success because you’ll be one of the first BDRs dedicated to the Italian market, directly fueling our sales pipeline and revenue growth.

You’ll be the engine behind new opportunities — opening doors, creating conversations, and ensuring our Account Executives spend their time on high-quality, well-qualified meetings.

You’ll know you’re successful when, after 90 days, you’ve:

• Built a strong outbound rhythm with consistent, high-quality activity

• Started booking qualified meetings for AEs

• Become autonomous in prospecting, CRM hygiene, and handover

How we’ll measure success:

• Main KPI 1: Number of outbound activities (calls)

• Main KPI 2: Number of meetings booked (SQL)

• Main KPI 3: Number of qualified meetings (SAL)

• Secondary KPI 1: Pipeline and revenue influenced

• Secondary KPI 2: CRM data quality and feedback loops

⚡ Reality Check - What Makes This Role Hard

Let’s be real — here’s what makes this role challenging:

• High volume of outreach with frequent rejection

• A strong focus on phone-based prospecting (cold calls are key)

• You need resilience, consistency, and energy — even on hard days

• You’ll be measured on inputs and outputs, not just effort

• Fast feedback loops: you’ll constantly adapt based on results

This role is not about comfort — it’s about growth, grit, and momentum.

You

Must-haves (evidence, not years)

• Iterative, curious, and entrepreneurial mindset — you bring solutions, not just problems

• Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to continuously improve

• Outcome-focused: “good enough” beats perfect, impact beats process

• You’re not afraid of hearing “no” — and you don’t take it personally

• You find new ways in when the obvious path is blocked

• Fluent Italian (C2 / native) and fluent English

• Strong verbal communication skills

Nice-to-have

• Solid CRM usage habits (HubSpot experience is a plus)

• Exposure to tech, HR, finance, or benefits-related ICPs

• SMB outbound sales experience

• Benefits market knowledge

Your DNA

• Proactive, energetic, and resilient

• Persuasive without being aggressive

• Comfortable handling objections and pushback

• Calm and grounded

• Coachable and open to continuous feedback

You’ll probably find this frustrating if…

• You lack ambition

• You struggle with feedback

• You give up easily after rejection

• You prefer low-activity, low-pressure roles
