Position:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team and manage a wide range of accounting operations, including accounting entries, reconciliations, cash flow management, and tax compliance. The role will report directly to the Head of Accounting and requires excellent tax knowledge, preferably gained in an accounting firm or tax consultancy firm.

What you will do:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

- End-to-end management of general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing the integrity of financial records.

- Monitoring cash flow operations (banks, credit cards), ensuring proper tracking of company cash movements, accuracy and timeliness.

- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping for both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing of invoices and receipts and handling payment schedules.

- Preparing and analyzing detailed financial reports (cash flow, profit & loss, balance sheet) to support management decision-making and strategic planning.

- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed variance analysis and working with various departments to develop accurate financial projections.

- Ensuring full compliance with Italian tax regulations, including preparing tax filings, VAT reports, and ensuring accurate deductions.

- Collaborating with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

- Actively identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, leveraging technology to streamline workflows.

- Liaising with cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, Operations) to ensure alignment on financial and operational matters.

Requirements:

- Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally focusing on tax and accounting functions, preferably within a consulting firm or Big Four.

- Fluency in English (both spoken and written).

- Strong understanding of tax regulations. 

- Excellent knowledge of Italian accounting standards (OIC) as well as international standards (IAS/IFRS).

- Proven ability to work autonomously, taking responsibility for tasks and projects.

- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling, etc.).

- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, ideally Business Central or similar platforms.

- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention for details and finding ways to automate and improve workflows.

Nice to have:

- Experience in the music and/or technology industry;

- Familiarity with Business Central Dynamics 365 ERP or similar systems.
