THE ROLE

The role is focused on the design of innovative IPs (mainly ADCs and DACs), participating to the architecture definition and implementation inside MEMS products.

The requested figure is represented by a brilliant mixed signal design engineer able to propose ideas and design solutions in the context of innovative IPs for inertial MEMS.

The activities will be focused on system-level implementation, strongly interacting with other departments. Candidate’s key role is based on the cooperation with the system architect, developing IPs to meet the overall target performance. The activity will include system modeling, IPs transistor-level implementation and all simulation / verification activities. 

The candidate will work also closely to the layout engineer to drive the layout activity of the designed IPs and he/she will verify the layout impact with post-layout simulations. He/She will participate to the evaluation and characterization of the followed blocks inside the products to verify the functionality and the performances.  

Technical skills and communicative attitude are key ingredients for this position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in electronic engineering.
• The candidate has at least 3 years’ experience in analog electronics design and familiarity with all the industrialization processes and debug/char activities.
• Good knowledge of low power and low noise design techniques. Experience in ADCs and DACs will be considered as a strong plus.
• Knowledge of signal processing will be considered as a plus, as well as Knowledge of digital hardware languages (VHDL / verilog).
• Good knowledge of Spice-based tools and Mixed signal simulation environment.
• Good knowledge of analog blocks modeling (veriloga / system verilog real number).
• System-level oriented block implementation approach is considered a key skill.
• MEMS knowledge is a plus.
